LR Historic Commission approves application for Scott St. Lofts

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Little Rock Historic Commission voted Monday to approve an application on the Scott Street Lofts. The proposed apartment building would be at the corner of 9th and Scott streets in Little Rock, near the Arts Center and MacCarthur Park. The Scott Street Lofts would include upwards of 45 one and two-bedroom units. Originally, it was proposed to include 53 units, but developers have since knocked that down to 48. Scott Street Lofts back for another try with Historic District Commission UPDATE

Moses Tucker Real Estate will try for a third time tonight to win approval from the Little Rock Historic District Commission for an apartment project on a half block between Ninth and Tenth on Scott Street that has been unused for decades. UPDATE: The Commission approved the revised plan described below in a 4-1 vote. Neighbors have objected before to the "mass" and other details of the project. It has undergone several revisions, now down to 48 from 53 apartment and with reductions in height (by 10 feet), facade and amount of space devoted to parking. Bike maker Orbea shifting sales hub, warehouse out of downtown Little Rock

Orbea USA will consolidate its sales and warehouse operations into one building at 700 West Broadway in North Little Rock with a scheduled move in for July. The bicycle manufacturer will lease nearly 20,000 square feet of space in The Works at Rockwater, owned by Lisa Farrell and her husband, Jim Jackson. Farrell and Jackson finalized the purchase of the property from Truck Pro LLC for $750,000 on Friday. Sage Partners represented the seller. Orbea has been operating a sales office and storefront with Spokes on Main Street in Little Rock, plus a 14,000-square-foot warehouse at the NorthShore Business Park in North Little Rock.
